Concert Choir in Hempfield Festival

The Concert Choir of Mennonite Children’s Choir of Lancaster (MCCL) will perform in a Children’s Choir Festival at Hempfield United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 24, at 7 p.m. Also participating in the event are Children’s Choir of Lancaster (CCL), directed by Drue Bullington, and Bel Canto Children’s Choir, directed by Dr. Joy Hirokawa. CCL is hosting the event.

 

MCCL’s Concert Choir, under the direction of Darlene Hein, has 38 singers, grades 6–8. Hein has taught music in both public and private school settings and most recently served as director of children and youth music at Neffsville Mennonite Church. Currently, she is teaching music at the New Danville Campus of Lancaster Mennonite School.

 

There is no admittance fee for the March 24 event, but a free-will offering will be received. 

MCCL, a program of Lancaster Mennonite School, is directed by Darlene Hein and Rosemary Siegrist Blessing. The 110-voice choir involves singers in grades 2-12 from over 35 congregations.
